Athletes will receive a bib number to wear visibly on their chest during the race. Please pick up your race number at the MUN Field House on Saturday (meet day) between 6:15 pm and 6:30 pm. A volunteer will be available near the main desk in the field house lobby to assist you.

PLEASE REVIEW THE FOLLOWING EVENT CHECK-IN AND RACE START PROCEDURES:

CHECK-IN
  • All athletes must check in at the designated table 20-30 minutes before their event.
  • The check-in table is located in-field near the 50m start line.
  • Failure to check in on time will result in a "Did Not Start" designation and removal from the event start list.
WARM-UP
  • Athletes should complete their warm-up before checking in.
  • After check-in, athletes may continue warming up but must remain near the check-in table.

Please be aware of the following guidelines for warming up on the track during the competition:

  • Athletes may use the track for warm-up and wear spikes on the red portion.
  • Please stay clear of the finish and start areas at all times.
  • During the 60m races, athletes cannot use the straightaway unless called to the start line by officials. The backstretch is available for warm-up during this time.
  • During the 300m races, athletes may use or wait in lanes 1 and 2 of the straightaway. Athletes may also use the backstretch but must move to lane six while the race is in progress.
  • During the 600m races and longer, athletes may continue using the outside lanes for your warm-up.
RACE START

Athletes will have one minute to set their starting block or to run off the start.

OFFICIALS AND COACHES
  • Officials are not permitted to coach.
  • Coaches may assist their athletes but must stay outside the competition area and are not allowed to interfere with officials.
FIELD HOUSE HARDWOOD FLOOR

Please be aware that due to previous damage to the hardwood floor during a track meet, we will be strictly enforcing the following Track Footwear and Pins rules:

  • Pin Length: The maximum pin length allowed is 3mm. Athletes with spikes longer than 3mm will be required to remove them and compete in their indoor sneakers.
  • Spike Types: Please be advised that only pyramid spikes are allowed on the track. Needle and Christmas tree spikes are not permitted, as they can cause damage to the track surface.
  • Spike Usage: Spikes may only be worn on the red track surface during competition. Athletes must remove their spikes after their race.
  • Restricted Areas: Spikes are strictly prohibited on the green synthetic surface and the hardwood floor.

Athletes found wearing spikes outside of the designated areas will be disqualified from the meet and barred from further competition.
